BEDALE OBSESSION

I MUST ADMIT IT WAS POTENTIALLY A PROBLEM. BUT, I DID MANAGE TO STOP MYSELF FROM BUYING EVERY CHEST POCKETED VERSION OF THIS BARBOUR BEDALE I COULD GET MY HANDS ON. IT IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BARBOUR AND AFTER FINDING THIS ONE OWNER ORIGINAL BELOW, (BOUGHT SOME 40 YEARS AGO BY AN ENGLISH UPLAND BIRD HUNTER, PASSED TO HIS DOG WALKING WIFE AND THEN FINALLY TO ME) I HAVE STOPPED. HERE ARE THE SPOILS.

THE END ALL

THE NOTE IN THE POCKET
THANKS VIVIENNE

That is fantastic! I have three Bedale's as well. Black/green tartan lining, a vintage classic green, which I too bought on ebay from the English country side and a brown one that JCrew was offering last year. My wife said "If I see one more of the same jacket, I am leaving you!"... So that was what stopped my collection from growing anymore.... Now on too, collect more vintage Woolrich and Filson..:)

I love my Barbour Border and regret having to put it in the closet during the dry warm weather - I got mine on eBay, and wish I knew its story as well as you know yours. It's the perfect jacket.

Nice Barbour's.
You seem to have more luck than me at finding.
Looking for a 44/46 find.
Thanks for posting.

When you get too big for it, I'll need something to walk the dog in.

I have a 4 pocket Bedale that my uncle Mark purchased in in 85-86, I have pictures of him wearing it on our farms in Cheshire and Lone Oak. When he passed away in 96 my mom snagged it from the Cheshire farm and it ended up in a box until a few years ago when she passed it on to me after seeing me wearing a Border. It's definitely my favorite.
