WHEN TOOLING AROUND IN MY HOMETOWN SUPERMARKET THIS CHRISTMAS I WAS HAPPY TO FIND A FAMILIAR LOGO IN THE BEER AISLE. GROWING UP IN UPSTATE NY, GENNY BEER WAS A HIGH SCHOOL FAVORITE AND A COMMON SIGHT AT BBQ'S, OX ROASTS AND CLAMBAKES, AND IT SEEMS GENESEE BEER HAS DUG UP THERE OLD SCHOOL LOGO FOR SOME 24OZ SINGLE CANS. A WELCOME SIGHT.

WM.BROWN FARM CORNED BEEF
I CORNED THIS BRISKET SOME TIME AGO WHEN WE BUTCHERED THE STEER WITH MY NEIGHBORS DAVID AND CHARLIE. THE BRINE WAS A SECRET RECIPE OF CHARLIE'S
(WHICH I SLYLY PHOTOGRAPHED FOR FUTURE USE). I PULLED IT OUT OF THE DEEP FREEZE AND POPPED IT INTO THE SLOW COOKER (CROCK POT) FOR A 10 HOUR SIMMER. PERFECTION ON A BLUSTERY WINTER DAY.

GAME JOURNALS
THESE ARE PERFECT TO KEEP TRACK OF SPECIFICS ON THE HUNT, WHEN YOU ACTUALLY MAY BE WRITING IN THE RAIN. (OR TUCKED INTO A GLASS OF SCOTCH AT CAMP) EITHER WAY, IT'S A BONUS THAT THESE ARE WATER (AND BOOZE) PROOF.
