AFTER LIVING IN AN AIRSTREAM FOR TWO YEARS (NO WINTERS, THANK YOU), BATHING OUTSIDE AND LONGING FOR A TOILET THAT FLUSHED PROPERLY, WE DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO BUILD A BATHHOUSE. MY BROTHER BUILT US THE MOST AMAZING JAPANESE INSPIRED SOAKING TUB THAT WAS GOING TO BE THE CENTER OF THE BUILD. WELL, THAT STRUCTURE QUICKLY TURNED INTO A ONE BEDROOM CABIN. THE EXTERIOR IS ALL LOCAL HEMLOCK AND THE INTERIOR IS CEDAR. THIS CABIN NOW FUNCTIONS AS GUEST HOUSE AND OVER FLOW FROM THE MAIN HOUSE. I STILL USE THE OUTDOOR SHOWER EVERYDAY IN THE SUMMER RIGHT UP TO FIRST FROST.

Dude, we should be friends....:)
No moths for you, GI.
This is awesome.
What a great space!
Nice Hudsons Bay five point blanket. I have two originals that came from my granny circa 1920 the wool is so much softer in the old blankets compared to the new ones. The cabin is very sweet as well.
damn nice piece of land you got there Matt. two syllable "damn". what's that through the bathroom window? is that the main house?
Perfection.
That is a tremendous little cabin. What's the soaker tub made from? Looks like wood and I would think it would rot out/leak?
Amazing!I say build a few more of those and call it a rugged resort. I'd book a trip.
THAT IS THE MAIN HOUSE THRU THE WINDOW (AN AUSTRIAN PREFAB). THE TUB IS MADE FROM MARINE PLYWOOD FINISHED LIKE AN OLD SCHOOL WOODEN SURFBOARD.
