DIY: WAXING (COTTON)

THIS BARBOUR HOOD NEEDED SOME REPROOFING AND I DECIDED TO GIVE IT A GO MYSELF. I HAD A TIN OF BELSTAFF WAX COLLECTING DUST, SO I CALLED AL AT NEW ENGLAND REPROOFERS FOR SOME ADVICE. I'LL TELL YOU I WILL NEVER DO A WHOLE JACKET MYSELF. FOR THE TIME, MESS AND EFFORT I WILL KEEP SENDING MY JACKETS (FOR REPROOFING AND REPAIRS) TO AL. HE HAS WORKED WONDERS ON A COUPLE OLD BELSTAFF MOTORCYCLE JACKETS AND IS ALWAYS AFFORDABLE AND PROFESSIONAL.

A sponge brush makes this much easier.

Thanks for the referral - I've got a Barbour Border jacket I purchased last year from eBay that I looove but it needs some new wax and a few spot repairs. I had been considering sending it back to Barbour, but now I've got an alternative.

I wish I'd known about Al 6 months ago. I've had a well worn Belstaff jacket for about 5 years and last fall it needed reproofing so I bought a tin of their wax and did it myself - I worked on it every night after work for days.
