FOSTER'S BIGHORN WAS ESTABLISHED IN RIO VISTA IN 1931 BY THE LATE WILLIAM (BILL) FOSTER. BILL WAS A BOOTLEGGER AND HUNTER OF ALL GAME, OF ALL SHAPES AND SIZES. HIS FIRST BIG GAME HUNT WAS IN AFRICA IN 1928. HUNTS IN ALASKA SOON FOLLOWED AND ALL THE TROPHIES FOUND THIER WAY BACK TO HIS BAR IN THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA DELTA. BILL DIED IN 1963 BUT HIS LEGEND AND TROPHY FILLED BAR LIVES ON - UNTOUCHED AT FOSTER'S. WE HAD COLD BOTTLES OF MILLER AND DEEP FRIED ASPARAGUS. (LAST OF THE SEASON) FOLLOWED BY BISON BURGERS. SO, WHEN YOU DECIDE TO MAKE A DRIVE TO THE DELTA (EXCELLENT FALL DUCK HUNTING BY THE WAY) DON'T MISS FOSTER'S BIGHORN.
