I BOUGHT THIS JOHN DEERE GATOR ON THE ADVICE OF MY NEIGHBOR SOME 10 YEARS AGO. THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST PURCHASES OF MY ADULT LIFE. IT CARTS ROCK, LOGS, GEAR, KIDS, DOGS, LUGGAGE, DRUNK HOUSE GUESTS, IT'S PULLED MY TRUCK OUT OF THE MUD, HALLS ASS THROUGH THE SNOW AND HAS PULLED A SLED OR TWO. I VISIT MY NEIGHBORS ON IT AND DRINK BEER OUT OF IT. YES, MY OTHER CAR IS A GATOR.

That is awesome. Yesterday I passed a Gator being pulled on a trailer down the interstate, and it was olive drab. I thought, man, I love those Gators. Now today I see this. I think its a sign!
Down here in Mississippi, the popular alternative to the gator is the chuck wagon. The brakes don't work on ours, just have to stop it Fred Flinstone style

true the kawasaki seems to have some faithful followers ( i have two neighbor brothers who battle mule vs gator) i dig how low to the ground the gator sits- feels sporty and fast on the gravel ( i know i am kidding myself here at a top speed at about 35) i guess i am addicted to that JD green.
dig the gator, matt. the images conjure fond memories of a summer spent clearing land in rural md when i was 14 or so. i was just learning to drive at the time, so the pickup and the tractor still made me a little nervous, but the gator just felt like a golf cart on steroids. i felt so cool driving it.

My son's Marine patrol found one in Iraq that had been stolen from the US Army and hiden underground-they dug it out, got it back to thier base, and painted it orange and yellow.No thought was given to returning it to the Army-they used it for all sorts of things.
