A GIN GROWS IN BREUCKELEN

I STOPPED BY TO VISIT BRAD ESTABROOKE IN RED HOOK TO SAMPLE SOME OF THE SPIRITS AT THE BREUCKELEN DISTILLING COMPANY. THIS STUFF IS GREAT. I LOVED THE SUBTLE AROMATICS IN THE GIN AND TOTALLY FELL FOR HIS CORN/RYE WHISKEY AGED IN OAK. HE HAS A BEAUTIFUL FACILITY (A TERRIFIC INDUSTRIAL SPACE WITH SOARING CEILINGS THAT USED TO HOUSE THE MASSIVE BOILERS OF THIS OLD FACTORY) AND IS OPEN FOR TASTINGS ON SATURDAYS. MOST DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT.
