PACKING : CAMERA KIT

I LIKE TO KEEP MY PERSONAL PACKING FOR TRAVEL LIGHT, VERSATILE AND APPROPRIATE FOR THE DESTINATION, THIS INCLUDES MY CAMERA GEAR. THIS THANKSGIVING I'LL BE IN PARIS AND HERE IS MY KIT BREAKDOWN FOR THE TRIP. THIS PARTICULAR KIT IS A BIT HEAVY (OVER PACKED) BUT, SINCE I AM SETTING UP SHOP FOR A WEEK AND NOT MOVING AROUND TOO MUCH, I DON'T MIND SCHLEPPING A BIT MORE JUST TO HAVE IT.

matt; i hve a canon sd780 as well and damn me but i cannot take good pics with it... either blown out by flash or focal length all off. do you have a goto manual profile setup? is it hacked? appreciate it. james

How is that SD780? Is it worth it to pay the extra $125 for the Powershot S90? Just looking to take some decent pics of my kids, etc.

the s90 is nice but i prefer the slimmer design of the sd780 and sd1400
for easy pocket access.

Matthew, Love your show, I see you use a point and shoot in many of the scenes, what do you use and what would you recommend for a reasonably priced point a shoot under $300. Thanks Jake
