MADE IN USA:PK GRILLS

IT IS NO MYSTERY THAT I AM A DIEHARD WEBER GRILL FAN. BUT ON A RECENT TRIP TO CAPE CHARLES VIRGINIA I SPOTTED THIS BEAUTY IN THE BACK ROOM OF THE LOCAL HARDWARE STORE AND GOT INTRIGUED. I HAD NEVER SEEN ONE BEFORE. WELL, THE STORY GOES THAT THE CAST ALUMINUM PK GRILLS WERE FIRST MADE IN TEXAS IN THE 1950'S AND ARE KNOW MADE IN LITTLE ROCK ARKANSAS. I FEEL YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY GRILLING SURFACES AND HAVE RECENTLY PUT ONE IN THE GARDEN IN BROOKLYN AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH ITS PERFORMANCE OR AESTHETICS.

I have cooked on the venerable Portable Kitchen for years. It is simple, beautiful, and incredibly well made. The Weber to which you refer compares poorly.

Enjoy your new grill!

Hi
The William Brown Project
Please keep it coming and I'll be back for a more bit of surprise! It seems so simple and yet extremely useful.

you will never have to buy another grill again! i have one that dates to the mid-60's and it is still going strong. i had to build a new stand a few years ago and the charcoal grate and cooking surface have been replaced but what do you expect after 40 years!

My Dad had one of these growing up. I remember how distraught he was after arriving in CA from NC to find that the movers didn't load it. We bought our first gas grill. Like sissy Californians.

quick tip, cut a nick through the fat border of the pork chop and you won't get curled pork chops. Thanks for the grill tip.

You can slide the top shelf up and over the aluminum casting to help secure the grill to the cart.
