WINGMAN

I AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED BY THE QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF VINTAGE WINGTIPS AT THE THRIFT STORES IN THE SOUTH. HERE IS PART OF THE LOUISVILLE HAUL.

Matt, do you have them professionally "restored" or just slip a shoe tree in and give them a good polish?

SOMETIMES A HEAL OR A SOLE NEEDS TENDING TO- BUT USUALLY I BUY ONES THAT FIT AND ARE IN GOOD NICK. I USUALLY JUST GIVE THE INTERIORS A SPRITZ OF ALCOHOL AND THE OUTSIDE A POLISH.

all in your size!?! you lucky devil! I'm a size 13, so I rarely have such luck, though I am wearing a pair of thrifted cordovan wingtips right now.

"Dead mans shoes", that's what my Grandfather called the thrif store shoes I wore in high school. (21 years ago) Wow, I must have been a head of the curve..

And maybe add some new laces as well... :-)

Is the first pair shell cordovan?

Nice finds - you seem to know where to go or maybe you are just very lucky.
