If you are still in town, make sure to visit Ann Sather's just a few doors down. Their breakfasts are wonderful, with cinnamon rolls to die for.

Brimfield! Be still my plaid-loving heart.

I used to live about 5 blocks from Simons in Edgewater on the border of Andersonville. If you're still in North Chicago, I recommend Edgewater Lounge, the Green Mill (nearby) for jazz (see if Kurt Elling is playing), and you gotta hit the show Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind by the neo-futurists (an institution).

Never been to Chicago. Deer paintings and Canoe hanging on the ceiling are sick. Not sure how I've missed your blog in the past. Good stuff here. Adding you to my blog roll now!
