THE ZEBRA F-301 IS A NO BRAINER CHOICE WHEN I WALK INTO MY LOCAL STAPLES. IT HAS A GREAT LOOKING STAINLESS STEEL BODY, NON SLIP GRIP, FINE POINT AND IS REFILLABLE.
I'm sure I'm not the first but I would like to push the Fisher Space Pen. It's US made, tough, operates like it should and it's been to the moon. THE MOON!... I just can't get over how cool that is... maybe it's not the most rational criteria for picking a writing instrument here on earth but screw it... IT'S BEEN TO THE MOON!
I loved the F-301 too, then I found the F-701. It's like the F-301 but a bit heavier and smoother in my opinion.
